Gale Pitt has been a freelance artist since 1977, selling originals and licensed pictures with a wide variety of subject matter to companies in the USA, Europe, Asia and the Antipodes. She has been particularly successful in licensing work for jigsaw puzzles. Based in England, she has travelled to 39 different countries to gather material for her works which include ballooning, flying, fantasy, dolls houses, gardens, cats, dogs – anything requested. A productive theme was the Alphabet Garden which for each letter of the alphabet she illustrated 10 items – although she must admit X and Z were rather difficult.
